These pictures remind me of possibility. Serving as the youngest and first ethnic minority president of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries as well as the third female (in 160 years) was a great privilege – something I hadn’t allowed myself to believe would happen. Until I did.

The first one hangs in the hallway of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries offices – down the road from Staple Inn (affectionately known as the home of the actuaries).

In my presidential address I said, “We will live significantly longer and many of us will follow more than one career”. Little did I imagine that it would apply so keenly in my life or so soon.

From tax associate to actuarial consultant, CRO, Chief Strategist, non-executive director, leader of a social enterprise championing education, author, card game creator, budding voice artist and most recently leadership coach. With lots of support from peers, mentors, coaches, friends and family along the way.

I paid it forward for SA Women’s Day by offering free group coaching sessions to the first six people that got in touch. If you have goals you would like to explore with the assistance of a coach, please get in touch on [email protected]

Here’s to self-belief and being limitless!
